First of all, I don't normally write reviews nor have the time; however, I felt people need to know of the great service that Ulises of Heating and Cooling Aid delivered... I had an issue with my AC not cooling and a couple of companies had come and could not diagnose the problem correctly and just wanted to sell me a new system. Ulises quickly gave me a diagnosis and different options on how to fix. He was so professional, thorough, and efficient. He fixed the problem promptly, left the work area clean, and gave me a reasonable price. I was wowed on all levels. Highly recommend and will use any and every time I need his services. My husband and I recently installed AC in our San Diego house. If you're a longtime local, you know how necessary it is these days. We struggled through the last few years with portable units which we installed in all our bedrooms, but they were bulky and loud. About 2 years ago, we started getting quotes. Every quote was between $12,000-$15,000. It was really shocking to learn how expensive air conditioning is. We were later told by a friend that the high cost is partly due to demand. We decided to save up money for it, and continued asking friends and neighbors for referrals. Finally, we were referred to Ulises Castaneda at Heating and Cooling Aid. This is Ulises' own company, and while he's small, he's extremely professional. He came out and explained why our house was not a one-size fits all solution, and recommended a mini-split system. We live in a canyon, and our house is not on flat ground all around. And the best part was his price was very competitive. We scheduled the job and over the course of 2 days they installed the system. He took care of the permits, and inspections. It was very easy. They also cleaned everything up well, and it was hard to tell they had been here. The system they installed is manufactured by Daikin, and it is unobtrusive, and very quiet. We are extremely happy with the outcome, our sleep has been fantastic, and we can highly recommend Ulises and his team.

Our air condition stopped working late afternoon in the middle of a mini heat wave. The company that installed the system were two weeks out for an appointment. I texted Ulises at 4:18pm and he responded not two minutes later offering a 7am appointment the next day. He then asked a few questions about the system and got our information and confirmed the 7am appointment. The next day he arrived at 7:10am and diagnosed the issue within 15 minutes. He explained what cause the problem, fixed it, and was on his way. Very friendly and knowledgeable, reasonable service call fee. Will be going to him for our yearly maintenance.
